Beginner level: What exactly is Online Freelancing? Where do jobs come from? What skills are needed? How will I be paid after work? Learn everything here.

Greetings?

Welcome back to today's class where today is a special day for biginners who want to start working as an Online freelancer but do not know what an Online freelancer is, what skills you need to have but also if you work your money will be paid?

Many people have been asking me a lot of questions about Online freelancing, some have been going so far as to say that it is not possible to be a freelancer in Tz and things like that.  But let me just say that lack of accurate information and ignorance is a big problem until it causes some people to try to oppose everything that is happening online without knowing it right now, talking about employment.

The reason there is simply simple.

It is cheaper to hire an Online Based freelancer to do your project.

It is also easy to find a "perfect candidate" if the Employer decides to hire Online Based Freelancers because he or she has a great choice to see who is suitable among the candidates who have applied from different parts of the world.

 Check out this UpWork survey

Ok after saying this now let me start our class today.

1 • What exactly is Online Freelancing?

Online freelancing in simple language means working online using the skills you have and you get paid.

 This knowledge can be

 a) identify and eliminate spelling errors in the Kiswahili or English article (proofreading)

 b) data entry

 c) things assistant service (being an employee of a certain company doing your homework. These jobs are usually dealing with customers. Calling, sending emails / answering etc)

 d) Facebook Advertising (to help people manage Facebook advertising campaign)

 e) logo & business card design

 f) web development & IT

 g) programming

 h) research

 i) article, ghost writing

 j) digital marketing

 k) and other different skills

These functions are available after you join the freelancing site of your choice such as UpWork, Fiverr, Freelancer.com, Guru and many other sites.

 Usually subscribing is free.

But on a site like UpWork your subscription application may be rejected if you do not have the required Skills.  Here you have to be mindful.  If you do not have Skills on demand you can go to Guru or Freelancer.com you will be accepted as soon as possible.

2 • Where do jobs come from?

The jobs available on the site I mentioned above are sent by a client (employers) who need to get their work done and pay you money.

Usually when a client puts up an advertisement for a project they want to do, it looks like this.

Or it could be a long-term project like this

Here's the first job a client is looking for someone to write Kiswahili poetry for $ 10

The second job is a long-term job 6+ months and the job there is to provide support to students learning Kiswahili online.

 Will that win you over?

3 • What Skills Are Needed?

Here at Skills let me just say there are many.

At number 2 you can see the types of jobs that require Skills such as mastering the Kiswahili language, mastering Online support, mastering English as well.

But apart from that you can have Skills such as logo design, article writing, materials assistant, researcher, digital marketer, Ms Excel, web development, translation and Skills, voice over artist and many other Skills.

If you do not have the skills you can spend your time studying so that when you sign up you will really get a job.

Remember there is a marketable and demanding skill that is important.  You will not be able to get a job if you are mediocre.

4 • How will I be paid after work?

First of all you managed to get a job the amount of money you agreed with the client will be deposited in the escrow account.  The meaning of the escrow account is an Account that holds the money so that when you complete the work it can be transferred now to your Account ready to be transferred to your bank account.

After the money goes into the escrow account and you work fully and then the client accepts it (they don't bother at all) then the money will be released from the escrow account.  You will then be able to withdraw your money and transfer it to your Payoneer account.

If you die you need help write to me.

 5 • Final word.

As I said earlier Online freelancing needs to first have Skills that you can convince the client that you are the perfect candidate.

If you are an article writer or translator you should really understand what you are doing.

If you are not yet mature, don't be lazy to learn more.  Don't just rush to sign up thinking that if you write a client proposal he will give you a job case you said you are a translator.  If he gives you a test, will you qualify?

 Alright.

For today let me end here.

Let's meet again in another amazing class like this

 Cheers
